Non-Profit Board Member Accelerator Training

Description

Join the Junior League of Birmingham, MI and Aly Sterling Philanthropy to learn how to be an effective non-profit board member and help your organization soar. The training’s goals are to encourage more people to serve the community and prepare future generations of non-profit leaders by providing the education and skills necessary to help young professionals and seasoned volunteers find the right board to serve.

Participants in this training will learn:

  • The board member’s purpose, roles and responsibilities
  • Signs of a healthy board and organization
  • Basic training on governance best practices
  • How to align your interest and skills with the right nonprofit

This training has a $45 fee ($35 for JLB members and members of sister Leagues), which includes lunch and a certificate of completion. Street parking and city parking lots are available close to the venue.

Additional funding for this training has been provided by the Junior League of Birmingham, MI’s Endowment Fund.
